It’s down to the final Superseries stop of the 2015 season in Kowloon, Hong Kong where Team VICTOR singles stars Son Wan Ho and Tai Tzu Ying lifted the winner silverwares last year. Both of them will return to defend their crowns.
Tai was just one point from a victory at April’s Singapore Open and a semifinalist in four other Superseries level events (including the Asian Championships) in 2015, but has yet to take the final glory; however, Tai’s steady performances have seen her rise to her highest ranking of no.3. Son, who has currently slipped outside the top 10 at world no.11, will also be coming back to Hong Kong looking to cap off the season with a Superseries win. His best result this year came at last week’s China Open when he defeated Japan’s Kento Momota en route to reaching the semifinals before losing to China’s Chen Long, the final rival who gave him the 2014 Hong Kong title.

Tai has been into Superseries semifinals five times this year, closest to victory in Singapore when she held championships points.
Son won the 2014 Hong Kong Open beating Chen Long in the finals.
Son Wan Ho got the better of Lin Dan at this year's VICTOR Korea Open.
Local favorites and #TheRealDeal at the 2015 Australian Open, mixed doubles duo Lee Reginald Chun Hei and Chau Cathy Hoi Wah will hope to gain another big victory in front of their home crowds this week at the Hong Kong Open Superseries.
There have never been any Hong Kong mixed doubles pairs making appearances at the Olympic Games. Lee and Chau, now ranked 10th best team in the world, hold bright chances for a debut next summer in Rio de Janeiro. “We are not just going to Rio and taking an Olympic selfie. We’re aiming higher! We need to keep up in every tournament and be well prepared,” Lee and Chau told local reporters.
