Korea's world number 2 men's doubles pair, Jung Jae Sung and Lee Yong Dae, dismissed rumours of their withdrawal at the 2011 BWF World Superseries Finals and asserted that they have traveled to Liuzhou to taste victory.
Lee/Jung were defeated by their compatriots Ko Sung Hyun/Yoo Yeon Seong in the men's doubles final at the Hwasun Victor Korea Open Grand Prix Gold last weekend. Jung was reportedly playing with an injury on his shoulder.
"I've actually had this injury on my shoulder for many years", clarified Jung at the pre-tournament press conference in Liuzhou, "so it's not going to affect my participation in this tournament for sure. We have come here to compete and we are here to win."Jae Sung-Yong Dae didn’t have a perfect tournament as they were stretched to three games in their second round and semi-final matches by Denmark’s Mads Conrad-Petersen-Jonas Rasmussen and Indonesia’s Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan respectively.
