Coming off the success at the Badminton Asia Junior U19 Championships in February, future VICTOR stars capped off another fruitful week at the SCG Badminton Asia Junior U17 & U15 Championships. VICTOR is the exclusive equipment sponsor of the BAC junior events.

 

Top seed Kantaphon Wangcharoen impressed in his home nation of Thailand when he was crowned the 2014 Boys' Singles U17 Champion, proudly equipped with VICTOR products.

 

Korea’s Kim Ga Eun also smashed her way to the final day at the CPB Badminton and Sport Science Training Center in Bangkok, grabbing the gold in Girls' Singles U17 and the silver in the Girls' Doubles U17.

2014 Summer Youth Olympics Mixed Doubles gold medalist, 16-year-old Ng Tsz Yau from Hong Kong powered through to the semifinals and took home the bronze in Girls' Doubles U17.

Twin sisters Seong Ah Young and Seong Na Young made the quarterfinals in Girls' Doubles U17. 

 

Known for their extraordinary prowess on the Men’s Doubles field, Korea hit the championship stride in the boys' when second seeds Lee Hong Sub and Lim Su Min edged the unseeded Lee Sang Min and Kim Won Ho in the Boys' Doubles U17 finals.

Team Korea concluded the week with 3 golds, 4 silvers, and a bronze.

 

The Badminton Asia Confederation (BAC) and VICTOR formally signed a three-year agreement to provide players and all BAC’s major events with its quality court equipment and shuttlecocks commencing on January 1, 2014. The event sponsorship includes the Badminton Asia Championships, Badminton Asia Junior U19/ U17 & U15 Championships, Badminton Asia Inter-Team Championships, and the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships, all Asia’s top-level regional badminton events. VICTOR will also provide products to support the BAC Asian Development Programme. In return, the agreement offers VICTOR licensing and marketing rights around the events.
