Tai’s steady performances have seen her rise to her highest ranking of no.3.
Son, who has currently slipped outside the top 10 at world no.11, will also be coming back to Hong Kong looking to cap off the season with a Superseries win. His best result this year came at last week’s China Open when he defeated Japan’s Kento Momota en route to reaching the semifinals before losing to China’s Chen Long, the final rival who gave him the 2014 Hong Kong title.
