men’s doubles of Chinese Taipei, Chieh Min Fang/ Sheng Mu Lee

In the latest BWF world rankings for badminton, Taiwan’s top female player Wen Shing Cheng and her partner, Yu Chin Chien, held onto top spot in the women’s doubles after taking it in October, 2010, their consistently good performance making them the pride of Taiwan!

In the men’s doubles, Chieh Min Fang/ Sheng Mu Lee have played steadily and retained 7th. Another men’s pair from Taiwan, Yu Lang Lin / Hung Ling Chen, fell to 18th. In the mixed doubles, two Taiwanese pairs, Hung Ling Chen / Wen Shing Cheng and Sheng Mu Lee / Yu Chin Chien, ranked 12th and 13th respectively, falling slightly compared to their February ranking. The “wonder girl” of Taiwanese badminton, Tzu Ying Tai, broke into the world top 30 in August last and has now progressed to 20th, an outstanding performance.

As for South Korean players, Yong Dae Lee/ Jae Sung Jung ranked 2nd in the men’s doubles, with Sung Hyun Ko/ Yoo Yeon Seong hot on their heels at 5th. In the mixed doubles, Sung Hyun Ko/ Jung Eun Ha stayed at 5th.
