Chinese Taipei’s golden pair reached the semis at the Hong Kong Super Series 2011
In the BWF world rankings for November, 2011, Lee Chong Wei, in the men’s singles, Cai Yun/Fu Hai Feng in the men’s doubles, Wang Xiao Li/Yu Yang in the women’s doubles and Zhang Nan /Zhao Yun Lei in the mixed doubles held tightly to top spots, while world champion Wang Yi Han reclaimed top spot from her compatriot.
Two major international tournaments were held this month, the Hong Kong Super Series 2011 and the Li-ning China Open. In the Hong Kong tournament, Chinese Taipei’s women’s singles player Cheng Shao Chieh and women’s doubles pair Cheng Wen Hsin/Chien Yu Chin beat Japanese opponents to reach the last eight while golden mixed doubles pair Chen Hung Ling/Cheng Wen Hsin were the only pair to beat a pair from China to reach the semis.
As for South Korean players, the two top men’s pairs Lee Yong Dae/ Jung Jae Sung and Yoo Yeon Seong/Ko Sung Hyun both reached the last four taking the runner-up spots at the Hong King Super Series and Li-ning China Open respectively, showing they are a force to be reckoned with. World ranked number 4 Ha Jung Eun/ Kim Min Jung defeated Chinese Taipei’s golden pair Cheng Wen Hsin/Chien Yu Chin to reach the last four at the Hong Kong Super Series in the women’s doubles.
South Korea’s two men’s doubles pairs can’t be underestimated

Ranked Victor players include women’s singles player Bae Youn Joo who moved up a place to ninth, the top South Korean men’s doubles pairs, Lee Yong Dae/ Jung Jae Sung and Yoo Yeon Seong/Ko Sung Hyun, women’s doubles pairs Ha Jung Eun/ Kim Min Jung and Jung Kyung Eun/ Kim Ha Na, Chinese Taipei’s mixed doubles pair Chen Hung Ling/Cheng Wen Hsin, women’s pair Cheng Wen Hsin/Chien Yu Chin and also Vietnam’s men’s singles player Nguyen Tien Minh.
